The US Virgin Islands consists mainly of St John, St Thomas and St Croix which is commonly called the USVI (United States Virgin Islands). St Thomas is the more industrious and has the big hotels like The Marriott, The Ritz, and Holiday Inn and has the International Airport for arrivals and departures for St Thomas and St John and is the choice airport for most of the Virgin Islands. There is no direct transport link between St John and St Croix. To go to St Croix there is a ferry or plane for transportation. So when on St John, one has to ferry to St Thomas and then fly or ferry to St Croix.

Virgin Island activities are vast and fun. St John activities are numerous. One can sail around the Virgin Islands. Sailing charters are plentiful, fun and social able. You can snorkel the US National Park of St John St John Reefs. There is much good snorkeling around St John in the Virgin Islands and many fish and coral to be viewed. Sailing excursions encompass all types and sizes of sailboats for rent. Virgin island power boat rentals and the powerboat charters are very popular for going to the Baths on Virgin Gorda, the Caves on Norman Island and Jost van Dyke which is home of Foxy’s and Soggy Dollar Bar. These are all British Virgin Islands or BVI.
These Virgin Island activities are great fun as the hundreds of Virgin Islands are all close together so there is plenty of time to visit many virgin island beaches in a day.
