Situated near Cruz Bay St. John yet worlds away on Hart Bay
Beach, our affordable three bedroom Caribbean villa is designed
with custom West Indian charm – stone walls with arched
windows, blue and white clapboard, lattice and gingerbread
detailing the West Indian allure, yet the home is filled with
all the amenities and conveniences one would desire.
Spectacular Caribbean Views from Deck! Watch the sunrise over
Ditliff Point on one of the three multi-level decks or curl
up with a book in the open-aired living room.
The home is very private, with a long, meandering stone
pathway leading down from road to the vila, and a private
path leading to Hart Bay Beach.
Our St. John Villa Amenities
Folding French doors open the entire front of the house
to a panorama of sights and sounds of the sea.
Prepare meals on the outdoor grill or in the well appointed
kitchen, appointed with stoneware made by local pottery
designers and craftsmen. Dine on the deck or indoors and
enjoy the sea breezes.
All Bedrooms Face the Caribbean
Odessa's master bedroom features beautiful hardwood floors,
hand-crafted Caribbean stone and woodwork, a comfortable
queen size bed, and a semi-open air shower.
The private lower level offers two bedrooms (one a suite)
with queen size beds, air conditioning, full bathrooms and
spacious decks. A sofa and roll-away bed accommodates other
guests.
Other Amenities You Will Appreciate
The villa comes with linens, towels, beach chairs, coolers,
a gas grill, cable TV, VCR, compact disc/tape deck, telescope
and washer/dryer, and views you will always remember!
Private Pool and Jacuzzi
In harmony with the outdoors and nearly surrounded by the
sea, our beach house features a pool and Jacuzzi overlooking
the ocean for a fresh water dip day or night and with complete
privacy.
A private path leads you to Hart Bay Beach, and you will
usually have the beach all to yourself since there is no
road access.
Gentle off-shore waves, coral and reef encompass the bay.
A beachcomber's dream, go shelling, hike the nearby trail
or snorkel among exotic coral and tropical fish, all just
at the end of the villa’s private path directly to
the water.
Facing east into the Tradewinds, savor the sound of the
surf and delightful Caribbean breeze year round. The surroundings
are alive with blooming frangipani, bougainvillea, native
trees and giant cacti encircling the property.
Island Amenities and Activities
An island of less than 5000 permanent residents, St. John
maintains a village-like ambiance. The Virgin Islands National
Park covers almost two-thirds of St. John, thus our many
beautiful white-sand beaches, grand views and hiking trails
make St. John an ideal Caribbean vacation.
Tennis, sailing, power boating, sea kayaking, scuba diving
and excellent snorkeling are all nearby. A five minute drive
takes you to Cruz Bay, where you can wander the streets
day or evenings and find excellent shopping, full service
grocery stores, fine dining, interesting characters, "local
flavor" and much more that St. John has to offer.
Also, St. John’s location makes island hopping to
other islands easy - ferries run daily to St. Thomas and
many times a week to the British Islands of Tortola, Virgin
Gorda and Jost Van Dyke.
Fly into St. Thomas (no airport here!) and let the airport
“taxi man” know you are going to St. John. They
will escort you to the ferry dock where your 20 minute ferry
ride will begin to relax your senses before arriving in
Cruz Bay, St. John. You will be greeted at the Cruz Bay
ferry dock by our friendly and knowledgeable manager, and
be personally escorted to the house.
