St. Thomas, USVI is the Blue Marlin capital
of the world. The famous North Drop, which is located
only twenty miles from the island, produces more Blue
Marlin bites per boat than any other place in the world.
It is not unusual to have five to ten Blue
Marlin strikes every day during the peak months of June
through October. During the week of the full moon the
fish become extremely aggressive and will repeatedly attack
a lure or bait until hooked. It is not uncommon to have
two or even three marlin in the baits at one time. The
best times for Blue Marlin are of course the summer and
fall months, but you can catch these fish any time during
the year. Anglers have caught Blue Marlin in the Virgin
Islands January through December aboard the Prowler.

of our fishing is done trolling lures, we do stock our
boat with natural baits.
