Wouldn't it be nice to really know
what you are seeing underwater when you are snorkeling?
Go snorkeling to offshore islands on board
Suntiger and we'll get into the water with you
to point out and name the fish, corals, sponges and other
marine creatures. It is a one-of-a-kind-tour of the underwater
world.
Trips leave from Caneel Bay dock at 10
a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Saturday. We return around
12:15 and 3:15 respectively. We take about 10 to 5 minutes
to get to the snorkel site. The trip consist of two snorkeling
adventures, each one about 30 - 40 minutes with a short
boat ride between the two.
The trip is open to adults and children age 8 and above.
Snorkeling takes place in water about 10 feet deep with
no stand-up areas, therefore, participants should have
comfortable water skills and be familiar with the use
of masks, fins and snorkel. Flotation devices may be brought
if desired. To get back on the boat, there is a 4-step
ladder and platform on the stern of the boat.
Bring cover-ups, sun lotion, towels AND your mask,
fins, and snorkel ... it is a very good idea if you try
the snorkel gear in shallow water before you come out
with us, to make sure all the gear fits comfortably.
If you are sun sensitive, plan on bringing a t-shirt or
body suit to wear in the water while snorkeling, to help
reduce sunburn.
Drinking water is available on board.
